OK, here is the real deal. I lived and breathd Simpson’s for 8 years. I had all the DVD’s sold from Amazon, bought all the toy’s, etc. Matt G. and The SImpson’s is now garbage. The shows are not funny and all they care about is pushing their socialist agenda. Do yourself a favor and buy from Amazon the first 7 or 8 season’s and enjoy, but the rest of the season’s should be ignored. Let Matt G. sit in his fancy home railing on about why war is no good and why we need a socialist agenda but meanwhile, I will be loving every FREEDOM filled day thinking about how good the SImpson’s used to be.

But why do you torment us so Amazon by putting up this for season 11, when season 10 hasnt even been released. You just get up all the hopes of the losers that think the DVDs could and should all be made in a weekend. I wouldnt put these things up until the discs are for sale, then when there feeble little minds come across it they will be so shocked and happy they will buy it instantly.

Just my 2 cents worth

Have a nice day everyone.

I often ask people if they still enjoy the simpsons and the few people who say its just as good as when it started, somehow, I just lose all respect for them. I feel bad, The Simpsons is my favorite show ever, but since about ’99 it has just become senseless dribble with no respect for the intelligence of the viewer. The characters have no substance, they have become “one dimensional cartoons” instead that were once a family you poked at every emotion in your body, especially the funny bone. The older episodes sometimes had a message, they could make you fall out of your seat laughing and then sometimes you could really appreciate the moments the simpson family shared. Take the worst episode of season 5 and put it next to the best episode of this season and tell me its better written, wittier, and funnier than the one from season 5. You cant. On the 138th spectacular episode Troy McClure said that the Simpsons would continue on until they were no longer profitable. I always found that a good joke, but as the years progressed that joke has haunted me and as I still turn on Fox every Sunday night hoping for something to make me laugh, then turning the channel 5 minutes later in disgust. I look for television that has substance and this my friends is mindless dribble… just like family guy, before they got cancelled the first time it was good, but now its a joke too, its sad. If America finds this mentally stimulating and entertaining I find myself sad to be an American. The Simpsons will still be my favorite show ever, but the people who run this circus have lost the respect of one of their viewers. Thanks for the memories Matt Groening, I hope you enjoy sleeping in your big pile of money.

As a life long simpson fan, I agree with those who contend that the show did go downhill around season 11 or so. The most current episodes are nothing short of crap and the movie was awful. It’s sad that a show that once possessed humor that was so witty now contains jokes that my little 5yr old nephew could concoct. As dramatic as it may sound, it really is sad and upsetting to witness the gradual destruction of the once greatest and funniest show on tv. I hope that Groening and those poor excuses for writers will let the show die a much needed death soon.

What a dilemma! This season features perhaps my all-time favorite episode, E-I-E-I-D’oh. Does the word “Tomacco” mean anything to you? If not, you must see this episode! It is freakin’ hilarious! But then, it concludes with Behind The Laughter, a misbegotten effort that is one of the all-time worst episodes.

I am one who has loved Simpsons from the start, and still love it. But Al Jean isn’t quite as good as some other show runners. I believe I read that he had a lot of influence in the (very disappointing) movie. But the movie was overly sappy and done in the style of the earliest seasons, whereas the later seasons are somewhat more random. I like the randomness, but some people aren’t liking it.
