Question by kim b: Where is the best resource for finding prices for collectibles and coins?
I want to find a price guide for pricing coins and collectibles. I would like to sell some items either on Ebay or in ads. Any suggestions on the best place to sell.

I’m going to stick with coins in my response, since that is what I know – but – the first thing you need is a good reference book. Most public libraries have the “Standard Catalog of World Coins” (published by Krause Publications), which is the most commonly used guide for pricing world coins. There are similar reference books for baseball cards, banknotes, Beanie Babies, and other items. Check your public library first.
Where to sell? EBay is probably as good as anything. Local coin and hobby shows are good, but the up-front cost of a table can be steep. Advertising in trade publications like Coin World or World Coin News may work for you. The Coin World and World Coin News web sites list advertising rates.
